The Jets might seem curious choice, but consider what they’ve done already this season. New York has been a huge underdog twice at home to the Cincinnati Bengals and Tennessee Titans — two playoff contenders — and in both cases, the Jets not only covered huge spreads but won outright. Can it happen again? Of course, it doesn’t have to. New York simply needs to cover 12.5 for its bettors to go home happy.

4. Detroit Lions (+8) at Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers should win this game, but they’ve been good for one hideous loss every year for what seems like the past decade. Pittsburgh is at home against the winless Lions, but Detroit is hanging tough and is coming off a bye week. Additionally, the Steelers, although 5-3, haven’t blown out anybody this season. Pittsburgh’s offense is terrible and while Detroit is brutal, eight points is a lot for the Steelers to cover.
3. Cleveland Browns (+2.5) at New England Patriots
The Browns are playing without running back Nick Chubb as he’s dealing with COVID protocol. However, Cleveland has D’Ernest Johnson, who made his name a few weeks ago on Thursday night in a win over the Denver Broncos. Additionally, the Browns have the better roster, even if New England and Cleveland have the same records at 5-4. Bill Belichick is always going to be an issue, but the Browns should handle business up in Foxboro.

2. Minnesota Vikings (+3) at Los Angeles Chargers
The Vikings should be getting pints as they’re on the road and two games worse than the Chargers. However, Minnesota has as much, if not more talent, than Los Angeles. Furthermore, the Chargers have the worst home-field advantage in the NFL, so expect plenty of purple to be in the stands come Sunday afternoon. Finally, and most importantly, Minnesota can run the ball and prefers to pound the rock with Dalvin Cook, while Los Angeles has one of the league’s worst run defenses.
1. Las Vegas Raiders (+2.5) vs. Kansas City Chiefs
This is a great rivalry, dating back to the franchises days in the AFL. Kansas City is the more talented team, but the game is in Las Vegas, and the Raiders have played better than the Chiefs throughout the year. While either could win, it’s smart to take the points from the more consistent team, at home, in what should be a very close contest.
