NFL power rankings, Week 13: Chiefs rule AFC

In our NFL power rankings, it’s the Kansas City Chiefs atop the AFC edition as they look to lengthen their four-game winning streak.

16. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars have more talent than the Texans, but also have the same amount of wins and a head-to-head loss against them.

15. Houston Texans

When you lose at home to the Jets — and you’re the only team to do it this year — it’s time to reevaluate everything.

14. New York Jets

Zach Wilson looks like he doesn’t belong in the NFL. If that doesn’t change, the Jets are in for another long few years.

13. Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh can’t beat the Lions, give up 41 against the Chargers and then are blown out by the Bengals. They might not bee good, guys.

12. Cleveland Browns

Cleveland can’t score right now, and it’s killing any hope it had to make the playoffs for a second straight year. Huge disappointment.

11. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins aren’t playing the toughest competition, but they’ve won five straight and have the Giants and Jets up next.

10. Denver Broncos

With a win this weekend as a big underdog against the Chiefs, the Broncos could make a resounding statement in the AFC.

9. Los Angeles Chargers

Every time you start believing in the Chargers, they lose. Los Angeles was handled by Denver and now has a tough road test against the Bengals.

8. Indianapolis Colts

So close to beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Indy must bounce back this weekend and take care of the Texans away from home.

7. Las Vegas Raiders

A massive win on Thanksgiving over the Dallas Cowboys gives the Raiders life. They get a chance to get to 7-5 against Washington this weekend.

6. Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati has been inconsistent, but the talent on both sides of the ball is solid. If the Bengals beat the Chargers on Sunday, it’s a huge step towards the postseason.

5. Tennessee Titans

The bye week came at a good time. Tennessee desperately needs to get healthy and regroup before the home stretch.

4. Buffalo Bills

Buffalo needs to win on Monday at home against the Patriots if it wants to win the AFC East. Biggest game of the year.

3. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens continue to win very odds games they should probably lose. Does the trend continue against the Steelers?

2. New England Patriots

Arguably the best team in the AFC. A huge test in Buffalo after a long string of soft opponents.

1. Kansas City Chiefs

If the Chiefs’ defense is for real, forget it.
