NFL Week 14 games: 5 best bets on favorites

The NFL Week 14 games have a host of interesting lines, and these five favorites are quality bets to both win and cover.

5. Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals (-2.5)

This is a disrespectful line for the Cardinals. Arizona hammered the Rams back in Week 4 at SoFi Stadium, and now are somehow only laying 2.5 points at home in a primetime game. Furthermore, the Cardinals have the league’s best record at 10-2 and are finally healthy with both quarterback Kyler Murray and receiver DeAndre Hopkins on the field. Los Angeles is largely healthy, but has dropped three-of-four and sits at 8-4.

4. Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers (-12.5)

This is a huge line — the biggest of the week — but why shouldn’t the Packers cover it? Sure, it helps the Bears will have quarterback Justin Fields, receiver Allen Robinson and defensive tackle Akiem Hicks back, but Chicago is 4-8 and getting ready to completely clean house. Conversely, the Packers are 9-3 and getting healthier, and could have the best team in the league. This is also in primetime at Lambeau Field. Green Bay should win by two touchdowns.

3. Buffalo Bills at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3.5)

The Bills are going to come into this contest desperate. After losing to the New England Patriots on Monday night, Buffalo is 7-5 overall and 3-4 in its last seven games. However, the Buccaneers are at home and have found there groove, winning their last three. Finally, Buffalo struggles to get a pass rush, and MVP-favorite Tom Brady will have ample time to pick apart a secondary that is without Tre’Davious White after he tore his ACL on Thanksgiving night.

2. New York Giants at Los Angeles Chargers (-10)

Even with receiver Keenan Allen out for Sunday’s game due to COVID, the Chargers are the much better team. New York is missing a slew of players including receiver Kadarius Toney, quarterback Daniel Jones and others. This means we’re likely to see Mike Glennon under center, and if Los Angeles can’t beat the Giants with Justin Herbert going against Glennon, it might be time to give up. The Chargers are in the hunt for a division title, and they should hammer New York.

1. Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs (-9.5)

Speaking of the AFC West title, the Chiefs are leading the Chargers by a game and welcome the Raiders in Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday. Last month, Kansas City went to Las Vegas and won 41-14, and now the Raiders are without tight end Darren Waller. This seems like another game where the Chiefs ought to have their way with their longtime rivals.
