Packers don’t sound too pleased with Jordan Love’s performance
Heading into the 2023 season, the Packers chatter centred on quarterback Jordan Love as the new offensive focal point.
Through the first seven weeks, the Packers hold a 2-5 record while Love has struggled to push the franchise forward. Despite that, general manager Brian Gutenkurst spoke positively about Love’s performance.

“I think he’s done a lot of really good things,” Gutekunst said via ESPN. “Really like the way he’s responded to the adversity, how he’s led the team. Again, we’ve got to be better as a unit, and I expect that to happen over the next 10 games. And I think that we’re going through some things that we knew we would go through. We haven’t had the results that we want, but I do like the way guys are responding to things.”
Green Bay has lost their last four games, which has plummeted them out of the playoff picture. Meanwhile, Love’s play has been a bag of mixed results behind 1,492 passing yards, 11 touchdown passes to eight interceptions, and a 78.2 passer rating.

He has thrown eight interceptions in the last five games, including three in the loss to the Las Vegas Raiders while failing to reach 200 passing yards twice over that span. Although his inconsistent play has hurt the Packers, there remains more than half of the season for him to turn it around.
The Packers will have to start that path in Week 9 against a Los Angeles Rams team aiming to snap a two-game skid.
