Raptors re-sign Immanuel Quickley to five-year deal
Before the start of free agency, the Toronto Raptors secured guard Immanuel Quickley to a five-year, $175 million contract.
The Raptors kept one of their key pieces that they will rebuild the franchise around. Toronto acquired Quickly before this past season’s trade deadline where he averaged 18.6 points, 6.8 assists, and 4.8 rebounds while shooting 42.2 percent from the floor and 39.5 percent from 3-point range in 38 games played.

It includes him posting eight double-doubles while holding a career-best 3.7 assists-to-turnover ratio.
The 25-year-old has emerged as a strong offensive asset who has helped form a formidable backcourt duo alongside RJ Barrett. The Raptors acquired the two from the New York Knicks.
Barrett also shined with Toronto last season, averaging 21.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists while shooting 55.3 percent from the floor and 39.2 percent from beyond the arc.

The Raptors have been busy this offseason that is headlined by agreeing to a five-year maximum rookie extension worth as much as $270 million with All-Star guard Scottie Barnes.
Toronto has also picked up Bruce Brown’s $23 million contract option for next season. He is entering the second year of his two-year, $45 million deal. In 34 games with 11 starts, he averaged 9.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists while shooting 48.1 percent from the floor and 31.7 percent from beyond the arc.
The front office has put together a promising young core group that could push the franchise toward consistent success in the East.
