Kwity Paye: We Want To Be The Best D-Line In The League
Indianapolis Colts defensive end Kwity Pate isn’t messing around after the team picked up his 5th year option.
Since being drafted in 2021, Kwity Paye has steadily improved every season. His individual goal for 2024 is to get into double-digits for sacks.
His goal for the entire team is to be the best defensive line in the NFL. If that’s going to happen, Kwity Paye is going to have to improve on a career-best 2023 season.

Indy’s front line ranked 5th in the NFL last season with 51 sacks. Paye had career bests with 8.5 sacks, 52 tackles and two forced fumbles.
“I had (4.0) sacks as a rookie, (6.0) as a sophomore, and now 8.5 in my third season,” Paye said.
“I definitely want to get at least 10.5 sacks this year. I’m really shooting for 12-15 sacks, but double digits is the goal at the end of the day. I have to get there this year.
“I’m excited that Chris Ballard picked up my fifth year,” he said. “I see it as a prove-it thing now more than anything. I want to prove that I’m what this team needs in a pass rusher moving forward.”

“I’m going to get out there and get the sacks, get the production. After I do that, we’ll have those contract discussions next offseason. For the most part, I’m not really worried about that [this year]. I’m worried about having my best season yet. We’ll discuss all that other stuff [contract] next offseason.
“We want to be the best defensive line in the league,” he said. “We’re definitely working towards that. We think we’re capable of achieving that this season.”
