Bills QB Josh Allen makes some telling comments about former teammates
Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen has become the center of attention after his recent praise of his teammate wide receivers was seen as a slight to Stefon Diggs.
Allen’s remarks included a statement that the Bills’ passing game embraces the “everybody eats” mentality, which quickly drew a connection to Diggs. With the perception that there is a shot toward the Bills’ former star wideout, Allen clarified his comments.
“I know there’s a lot of people talking out there, again, I’m not trying to tear down anybody,” Allen said on Wednesday via ESPN. “I’ve loved everybody that I’ve played with, and you don’t have to tear other people down to build each other up. And we’re building each other up right now and that’s all we’re trying to do and trying to stay together as a team. We’re really caring about each other and everybody in this building’s got that feeling.”
When asked what he was referring to, Allen said, “You know what I mean. You know what I mean. Whether it’s former players…”
Allen’s choice of words was easy to link toward it being directed at Diggs. It’s no secret that the All-Pro wideout had his fair share of internal issues over the tail end of his tenure with the Bills.

The outside noise aside, the star quarterback voiced his respect toward his former teammate.
“Yeah, and again, I love 14, I still do., ” Allen said. “But everyone wants to keep making this thing a thing. We’re so focused on what’s going on inside ofour building and that’s the only thing we’re caring about right now.”
Allen and the Bills will let the chatter play itself out and focus on the path ahead with the next step being to remain undefeated in a primetime matchup on Sunday night against the Baltimore Ravens.
