Ravens sign veteran wide receive DeAndre Hopkins
The Baltimore Ravens added another passing game threat after agreeing to a one-year, $5 million deal with former Pro Bowl wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
The deal can reach up to $6 million, bringing aboard another proven commodity for two-time league MVP Lamar Jackson to throw the ball to next season.
“I would be lying to sit here and say it wouldn’t be an honor one day to play with a great guy and a great quarterback like Lamar,” Hopkins said on the “I Am Athlete” podcast via ESPN.
Hopkins is coming off helping the Kansas City Chiefs reach their third straight Super Bowl. The Chiefs acquired him in a midseason trade with the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a conditional 2025 draft pick.
In 10 games with Kansas City, he posted 41 receptions for 437 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He also had three catches for 29 receiving yards and a touchdown in three playoff games.
Hopkins is the active leader with 12,965 receiving yards, along with 984 receptions and 83 touchdowns over his first 12 NFL seasons.

The Ravens hope Hopkins can bring his veteran presence and production to their young wide receiver room, which is led by Pro Bowlers Zay Flower and Rashod Bateman.
The 32-year-old will be able to latch onto a prominent role in the passing game as one of Jackson’s reliable targets. He may not be the player he once was, but he will provide depth and a dependable offensive option.
