Odds to win the 2013-2014 Conference USA Division
None of the teams in the Conference USA are not likely to make it to the BCS Championship game. Â In fact, Bovada does not even have any Conference USA teams listed in the odds to win a National Title. Â However, the odds for which team is going to win the Conference USA division are very close.
Tulsa – 2/1
It is Tulsa’s last season with the Conference USA and most are expecting another division championship for them before heading to the American. Â RB Trey Watts was ranked ninth in the nation in rushing offense last season. Â The rest of Tulsa’s rushing offense will also be returning.
However, there are also a lot of new, inexperienced, faces. Â Tulsa in not a lock for the championship or a bowl game, but they are definitely the team to beat in the Conference USA.
Marshall – 7/2
Offensively, Marshall is a championship team. Â QB Rakeem Cato threw for 4,201 yards and 37 TDs, leading the nation in passing. Â Marshall was sixth in overall offense.
Defensively, Marshall could not get the job done last season. Â They allowed 43 points a game last season. Â Marshall could easily win the Conference USA East and even make a run at outdoing Tulsa in the west if they can manage to tighten up their defense.
East Carolina – 4/1
It is also East Carolina’s last season with the Conference USA and they want to go out with a bang. Â They have a schedule that features a handful of non-conference games including battles against North Carolina and Virginia Tech. Â They will also have a big game at the end of the season on Nov. 9 against Tulsa that very well could determine the Conference USA Champion.
