Big 10 Football Preview
The B1G has a big weekend of football ahead of itself as a couple teams will be looking to up set the best teams in the division. Â Here is a preview of some of the Big 10 action you have to look forward to this weekend.
Iowa @ Ohio State
The Buckeyes and the Hawkeyes are set to collide on Saturday.
OSU quarterback Braxton Miller is going to perform well as always.  He is going to make big plays, as he can do this against any team.  However, Iowa’s linebackers are a very talented group of guys.  So talented that containing Miller is not out of the question.  Iowa is also pretty good at stopping the run game.  They are at their weakest when defending against the long ball.   nine of its 11 allowed touchdowns this season have come on pass plays over 20 yards.  Miller is very comfortable throwing the ball deep.  The Hawkeyes are going to have to step up their pass defense if they want to have a real shot at beating the Buckeyes.
The opening odds had the Buckeyes as the 17 point favorites to win this game.  Those odds have since moved up to 18 points at most sports books, including Bovada. The game starts at 2:30 p.m. CT and will air on ABC/ESPN2
Indiana @ MichiganÂ
The Michigan Wolverines are the huge favorite to win this game according to both the sports books and the talking heads. Â Yet, when you look at Michigan’s recent track record perhaps we should not be so quick to count out Indiana.
Michigan is 5-1 but is 2-1 against teams that are worth talking about. Â They suffered a disheartening quadruple overtime loss to Penn State last week. Â The Hoosiers may have Michigan right where they want them.
Meanwhile, Indiana has played one of the toughest schedules in all of the NCAA, 37th in the nation in fact according to SB Nation. Â With that said, their 3-3 record is a bit deceiving.
Still, the sports books have this game as a 10 point advantage for the Wolverines. Â The game starts at 2:30 p.m. CT. Â It will air on BTN.
