NHL: Dallas Stars @ Colorado Avalanche
Make it a point to stay up late tonight to watch two top notch hockey teams battle it out, as the Dallas Stars take on the Colorado Avalanche.
Both these teams have won more games than they have lost in their last ten with Dallas going 4-3-3 and Colorado going 5-4-1. These two teams should be very familiar with each other, as it is the third time they will be meeting this season. The Avalanche won the first two encounter, 3-2 (both games had the same score). These two teams will meet two more time later in the season.
Four points are on the line in this contest and both teams feel as though they need these points.  The Avalanche are neck and neck with the Minnesota Wild for third place in the Central Division. The Stars  trail Minnesota by eight points, so they are also still in the running.
The Stars will be wrapping up a three-game road trip with this game in Colorado. They are 1-1 thus far on the road. Dallas is coming off a win against the Winnipeg Jets. Tyler Seguin is pretty hot right now coming off the blockbuster trade, as he had two goals and a pair of assists to lead Dallas to victory.
Colorado defeseman Ryan Wilson will miss this game. Avalanche forward Maxime Talbot has two goals and one assist in his past five games and will be looking to keep up his hot stream.
The Avalanche are favored to win this game. Â Their moneyline is set at -150. The Stars moneyline is set at +120. The game starts at 9 p.m. ET.
