Jazz @ Clipper Prevew
For those who like to stay up late on the weekend, the NBA is serving up a late night game tonight between the Utah Jazz and the Los Angles Clippers.
The Los Angles Clipper have had a packed schedule over the last couple weeks. Â Their game against Utah will be their tenth in just fifteen days.
The Clippers are coming off of a five-game winning streak that was snapped on Thursday by the Golden State Warriors. LA would never lead in the game and though all those interviewed afterwards denied fatigue was a factor in the big loss, some still beg to differ.
They will be returning to the Staples Center tonight so even if fatigue is working in favor of the Jazz at least the Clippers have home court advantage. This starts a bit of a home stretch for the Clippers who will play six of their next seven games in LA. Tonight also marks the end of the Clippers brutal schedule, as they will not play another back-to-back pair of games until after the All Star break.
It is no secret that the Jazz are struggling this season. They are 16-30 and in last place in the Northwest Division. The Warriors also played spoiler to the Jazz on Friday when they spoiled the Jazz’s hopes of picking up their first three-game win-streak.
Alec Burks still looked impressive in the loss, though. He is now averaging nearly 19 points a game. The Jazz will need another big performance out of Burks if they hope to get past the Clips. The Jazz roster is also plagued by injuries with both Marvin Williams and Derrick Favors are likely to not be taking the court this game due to injury.
The Clippers are favored to win this one with a -13 point spread over at Bovada. The game starts at 10:35 p.m. ET.
