Conference Tournaments in Full Swing
It’s Thursday of Conference Tournament week which is the first official day of March Madness. If you happen by your local sports bar this afternoon, there will be no shortage of live college basketball games on the TVs. It will look a lot like a Saturday afternoon there.
We have the SEC, ACC, Big East, AAC, Big 12, PAC 12 Big East and PAC 12 Tournaments going on simultaneously, all day and all night today and tomorrow. And already we have had a major upset which could affect the NCAA Tournament bracket all the way from the top down. Going into today’s action, the Villanova Wildcats were a projected #1 seed. But they were knocked out of the Big East quarterfinals today by the Seton Hall Pirates 64-63. Eugene Teague led the Hall with 19 points as they improved to 16-16 and kept their NCAA hopes alive for another day. If they can win tomorrow, they could also stay alive for one of the other post season tournaments as well. A win over the #3 team and a .500 record could be enough.
Another team working on an upset today is the Houston Cougars who are taking on the SMU Mustangs in the AAC Tournament. Those two are in a tight battle coming down the stretch. Other Top 25 teams already done today include the #16 Iowa State Cyclones who prevailed 91-85 over the Kansas State Wildcats in the Big 12. The #24 Ohio State Buckeyes are taking on the Purdue Boilermakers this afternoon in the Big Ten.
Tonight, we have some other top ranked clubs in action including the #4 Arizona Wildcats who take on the Utah Utes in the PAC 12, the #10 Kansas Jayhawks who will play the Oklahoma State Cowboys in one of today’s best matchups and the #5 Louisville Cardinals taking on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in the AAC. The #8 San Diego State Aztecs take on the Utah State Aggies in the Mountain West Tournament. The #13 Cincinnati Bearcats face the UCF Knights in the AAC.

Oklahoma Stare vs Kansas– OSU is +135 and KU is -155 Moneyline. OSU is +3 -115 and KU is -3 -105 ATS. We are going with the Jayhawks -3 -105.
