Bulls @ Wizards Preview: The Battle Of No. 2
The Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards are already in playoff. Â Both teams are No. 2 in their respected division and could even find themselves battling in the open round of the playoffs.
Neither team is playing for the playoffs, nor are they anywhere near snatching away the No. 1 seed in the East spot from the Miami Heat.
The Bulls will be playing to secure their fifth straight victory and to avoid being swept by the Wizards in the season series. Â The Bulls have lost four out of five games against the Wizards. Â Three of those games were on Washington’s court. Â All the while, the Wizards hold the Bulls to just 84 points a game when Chicago comes to town.
If the Bulls can secure a victory tonight it will go a long away in giving them confidence in the playoff, especially if they wind up playing the Wizards in the opening round.
There are six games left in the season and Chicago is just looking to hit the finish line strong and start the post season.
The Wizards are sixth in the Conference and will be looking to win their last six so they can go into the playoff with a winning percentage of .500. Â If they win this game they are assured a .500 win percentage. Â It will be the first time the Wizards have done that since 2008. Â They have also won four of their last five games.
The Wizards beat the Bulls last time they visited, 96-93 back in January. Â However, over the last couple months the Bulls have stepped up their defense, limiting opponents to just 87.6 points a game and 41.5 percent on shooting.
The Wizards are the -2 point favorites to win this game. Â The game starts at 7 p.m. ET and you can watch it with NBA Live Play or WGN.
