T’was the night before…
T’was the night before the NCAA men’s basketball season gets underway and we are all in for a treat this season. As we brace ourselves for a season of great plays, college athletes fulfilling their dreams and heartbreaking, last second defeat, there is a lot to look forward to.
Based off of last year and last year’s tournament, there are several teams who are expected to do great again this season thanks to returning players and young teams who are now considered seasoned.
The Harrison twins and Kentucky are definitely favorites going into this season to make it to the Final Four. The talent that their roster has will need to continue to develop over the season.
Duke is also one of the more talked about teams to make it far in March because of their new and talented recruit, Jahil Okafor, who has a lot of pressure on him to produce big results this season. Luckily, Duke has a solid cast of returning players to support him.
The Big Ten is also a great contender for the Final Four with five teams ranked in the preseason top 25 and four other teams receiving votes. Michigan State and Wisconsin are two teams stacked with returning talent. Wisconsin was able to win 30 games last year. Michigan State had a tough loss last year against UConn to keep them out of the Final Four but are ready to control their own destiny this year.
So brace yourself college basketball fans. Wash your jersey, get a goodnight sleep and set up your multiple TVs to catch every second of action. We will be in March Madness before you know it.
