Week 9 marks the midway point of the 2014 NFL season and what better way to celebrate heading into the downward stretch than taking a look at some of the current trends on show.

Betting Sports has sifted through tables and standings to bring you 25 trends that you’ll want to keep an eye on as this year’s campaign enters its interesting phase.

So, without further ado…

Straight Up

1. Undefeated over the last four games, the Denver Broncos currently sport the league’s longest active winning streak.

2. Winless through the first seven games, the Oakland Raiders sport the league’s longest active losing streak, a streak that stretches to 13 games going back to last year.

3. Denver is 5-0 at home this season, making it the winningest team at home.

4. Seven teams have yet to lose at home this season (Arizona, Cincinnati, Denver, Green Bay, New England, New Orleans, Philadelphia). The Cincinnati Bengals are the only team in that group to have a tie on their record though.

4. The New Orleans Saints have not lost at home since December 30, 2012, a stretch of 11 games.

5. With a 3-0 record away from AT&T Stadium, the Dallas Cowboys are the only team to go undefeated on the road so far this season. The Cowboys have won four straight road games dating back to last year.

6. Four teams have yet to record a road win this season (Atlanta, Jacksonville, NY Jets, Oakland).

7. The Detroit Lions earned a road victory over the Atlanta Falcons when the two sides met at Wembley Stadium, London, in Week 8. The designated home team is now 3-7 in London. Avoid the ‘home team’ Jacksonville Jaguars when the NFL returns to London in Week

8. Despite failing to cover the spread in last Sunday’s epic encounter with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Indianapolis Colts (6-2-0 ATS) are the league’s best team against the spread.

9. Conversely, the New York Jets (1-6-1 ATS) have the league’s worst record against the spread.

10. The Jets have failed to cover the spread in each of their five home games. Avoid Gang Green spread bettors.

11. Four teams have yet to cover the spread at home (Chicago, NY Jets, Tampa Bay, Tennessee).

12. Dallas is 3-0-0 ATS on the road, the only team that has covered the spread in every road game.

13. The Atlanta Falcons are the only team in the league that has yet to cover the spread on the road.

14. The New York Jets have entered four games as the favorite and failed to cover the spread each time.

15. The Green Bay Packers have yet to cover the spread when playing as the underdog (3 games).

16. The New England Patriots are 2-0-0 ATS when playing as the underdog. The Patriots are underdogs heading into Sunday’s game with Denver.

17. The Kansas City Chiefs are 4-1-0 ATS when playing as the underdog.

18. The favorite has covered the spread in seven of the last eight NFL International Series games in London. Take the favorite to cover when the Cowboys and Jaguars meet at Wembley Stadium in Week 10.

19. The Green Bay Packers (7-1-0 O/U) have seen the over pay out more than any other team so far this season.

20. Green Bay and New England have both seen the over pay out in five straight contests, the active high water mark for the league.

21. The Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings have all seen the under pay out in six (of eight) games, a high for the league.

22. The Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars have seen the total go under in four straight games, marking the longest such streak.

23. The over has paid out seven times (in nine games) on Thursday Night Football. Bet the over on Thursdays!

24. The over has paid out seven times (in eight games) on Sunday Night Football. Bet the over on Sunday nights!

25. The over has paid out seven times (in nine games) on Monday Night Football. Bet the over on Mondays!
