Aaron Rodgers “Will Be Fine” – Brett Favre
Brett Favre is confident that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers can overcome stylistic differences with new coach Matt LaFleur.
As has been widely discussed, Aaron Rodgers and Matt LaFleur isn’t the most compatible partnership in professional football.
LaFleur’s style will limit Rodgers’ freedom, which he will not be accustomed to. Rodgers has spent his entire career playing as a freelancing signal-caller under Mike McCarthy.
So regardless of style, it would be a challenging adaptation for Aaron Rodgers. Brett Favre, however, doesn’t think he or the Packers need to change anything.

“Aaron will be fine,” Favre said.
“I think that the thing is he needs to remain the same. And I don’t have to give him any advice. You know, he’ll handle it well.
“The question is, how will they handle it with him. And obviously, that’s very important. I mean, there’s more to the team than Aaron but we all have to admit that when he’s playing and playing well, which generally when he’s playing he is playing well, you don’t want to change what’s working. There’s other factors that you have to work on.”
It’s something both Rodgers and LaFleur are clearly aware of. Speaking to NFL.com’s Michael Silver last week, LaFleur said he was “curious†to see how the two would combine. Rodgers himself also told Silver that he shouldn’t be expected to “turn of 11 years of recognizing defencesâ€.

“I think you let him play his game and not disturb that very much,” Favre said.
“And it’s going to be interesting to see if that happens.”
