Bills reveal status of superstar QB Josh Allen
After the tough loss on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, the focus with the Buffalo Bills was on the health of star quarterback Josh Allen.
The reigning league MVP entered the locker room with a noticeable limp, which led to an X-ray that came back negative; however, he did aggravate his foot injury.
Head coach Sean McDermott underlined the importance of getting Allen to the playoffs.
“Coming into the game, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I had my eyes on Josh,” McDermott said via ESPN. “Just because of how important he is to us. And we’re in the playoffs. But I also know who he is. And he’s as competitive as there is, and as good as there is, but I also have a responsibility to protect him to make sure he’s as healthy as possible for us as we move into the playoffs.
“You’ve got to know, to get [No.] 17 off the field, you’re gonna have to … I’m gonna have to wrestle him.”
The Bills struggled offensively against the Eagles, averaging 4.5 yards per play while Allen failed to throw a touchdown pass but did record two rushing touchdowns.

Although Buffalo failed to add a sixth consecutive AFC East division title, the team sits in the seventh and final wildcard spot heading into Week 18. The Bills could move up to as high as the fifth seed, as they sit in a three-way tie for the best record with the Los Angeles Chargers and Houston Texans.
