Josh Dobbs Inspires Vikings To Fairytale Comeback Win
It’s been a long time coming for quarterback Josh Dobbs, who finally had his NFL breakout moment on Sunday.
Josh Dobbs found himself playing against the Atlanta Falcons after Jaren Hall sustained a concussion. In the wake of Kirk Cousins’ season-ending injury, Josh Dobbs provided the Vikings with a balming 31-28 comeback win.
Dobbs finished the game on 20-of-30 passing for two touchdowns with a game-high 66 yards and a touchdown. He only arrived in Minnesota on Wednesday.

Dobbs was drafted in 2017 by the Steelers and waited until 2022 to make his first start with the Titans. He’s made 11 starts for three teams, but he came to life with two minutes left on Sunday.
He found Jordan Addison from 24 yards and converted impressively with a 22-yard run on a fourth-and-7. His subsequent 6-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Powell two plays later proved to be the winner.
“I hope people understand what Josh Dobbs was able to accomplish that was very special and I’m really proud of him,” Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell said.
“He can change the game athletically with his legs and even when I gave him plenty of bad plays today,” O’Connell added. “He made it right. That’s something quite honestly that we knew bringing him here that was one of the traits. In addition to his leadership, his qualities, smarts and toughness. You have to be a mentally tough guy to go do what he did today.”

“I’m honored to be in Minnesota and introduce myself to everyone,†said Dobbs.Â
“Tremendous game, team effort. I know the circumstance I was put in was a little abnormal for a Sunday in the NFL.
“I know it was a little muddy to start but once we got a rhythm, we were able to go down the field and play really good football.â€
