Celtics star Jayson Tatum still feeling the effects of COVID-19
The 2020-21 season has been nothing short of challenging for the Boston Celtics due to their struggles with COVID-19.
The virus has had a major impact on the roster, including Jayson Tatum, who missed time due to a bout with the illness. Following Tuesday’s win over the Portland Trail Blazers, Tatum revealed that he has been using an inhaler after games over the last three months since returning to the fold. (H/T ESPN)

“It’s a process,” Tatum said. “It takes a long time. I take an inhaler before the game since I’ve tested positive. This has kind of helped with that and opened up my lungs, and, you know, I never took an inhaler before. So that’s something different.
“I for sure feel better now than I did a month ago.”
Throughout this season, Tatum’s performance has been notable at a different level since his return from his COVID-19 bout. However, he looks to be turning a bit of a corner as of late with his play.

In the last 10 contests, he is averaging 29.4 points while shooting just below 50 percent from the floor and a fraction below 40 percent from beyond the arc. The Celtics have also picked it up on the court, moving to fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
Boston has won their last four straight games, including seven out of their previous 10 contests. If the Celtics hope to take the next step toward serious title contention, it will need Tatum and Jaylen Brown to head the charge.
