Jazz continue to bolster their roster with additions of Jeff Green, Emmanuel Mudiay
Since the start of free agency, one of the busiest teams in the league has been the Utah Jazz retooling their roster.
This continued on Tuesday with them adding more depth to the roster with the additions of forward Jeff Green and point guard Emmanuel Mudiay on one-year deals respectively, according to ESPN.
Free-agent forward Jeff Green has agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million veterans minimum contract with the Utah Jazz, league sources told ESPN on Tuesday.
The Jazz also reached agreement with free-agent point guard Emmanuel Mudiay on a one-year deal, sources told ESPN.
Green has bounced around the league over the last several years, but he has proven to be a strong asset off the bench with his scoring ability and shooting from beyond the arc that stretches the floor. This gives the Jazz another viable option off the bench who can also play multiple positions and stretch the floor.
Meanwhile, Mudiay is coming off his first campaign with the New York Knicks where he proved to be an improving shooter as he shot 44.6 percent from the floor while averaging a career-best 14.8 points per contest in 59 games played. His presence adds more depth at the point guard position behind veteran point guard Mike Conley, who was also acquired this offseason just prior to last month’s draft.
The Jazz have swooped up several veteran players to add to the mix like Conley, Mudiay, Green, and Bojan Bogdanovic that has created much buzz around the franchise’s future next season. The Jazz could look to further stabilize their roster in free agency this summer.
