Nets guard James Harden could be out until the playoffs
The Brooklyn Nets rocked the NBA landscape this season by adding a third superstar to their roster before the trade deadline. This star-studded team led by Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving was able to pull off a blockbuster deal to acquire James Harden. That move has as a result cemented them as favorites to win it all.
However, the Nets have been dealing with several injuries this season to all three of their superstars. Durant has been dealing with nagging issues all year long in his first season back from an Achilles tear. Meanwhile, Irving has had personal issues along with some bumps and bruises as well.

Harden has been battling a hamstring injury, which has caused him to miss some time, and for good reason considering those kinds of injuries can be tricky. According to Malika Andrews of ESPN, he will miss extended time after suffering a setback in his rehab.
James Harden experienced what the Brooklyn Nets are calling a “setback” in his hamstring rehabilitation and is now out indefinitely.
First-year head coach Steve Nash talked about Harden’s status and admitted he doesn’t know when his star guard will be back on the floor.
“Back to square one,” Nets coach Steve Nash said Tuesday. “We’ll rehabilitate him and get him back whenever we can, and who knows when that will be. We’ll support James and our performance team in getting him back in as best condition as possible. And hopefully that comes sooner than later, but there’s no guarantee.”

Obviously, this isn’t great news for the Nets. They’re preparing for a potentially long playoff run as the favorite to win the championship this season. Durant’s lingering issues were bad enough, but now matters seem to be worse with Harden’s status up in the air and the start of the playoffs only being a few weeks.
