Bucs’ Rob Gronkowski ‘could play another season right now’ if it started today

Veteran tight end Rob Gronkowski was thought to have officially moved on from football. However he surprisingly unretired and reunited with Tom Brady with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The move turned out to be a good one for the future Hall of Famer. He won another Super Bowl, and now he’s thirsty for more.

One of the main reasons for Gronkowski stepping away from the game was due to injuries. As well as that, he didn’t want to go through the grind anymore. Now Gronkowski is as healthy as he’s ever been, and he can’t wait to get back on the gridiron with Brady and company via Jenna Laine of ESPN.

“I feel like I could play another season right now, if it started,” Gronkowski said. “I feel really good. … light,  flexible. And I feel like I can go out and just play some football, and just go out and not be in pain … run routes and do what I gotta do out there on the field. So I definitely feel like I’m ready to go, to play another full season coming up this year and just take it a year at a time like that.”

At 31, Gronkowski may still have a lot of football left in him. Additionally, the offense in Tampa Bay doesn’t need to lean on him as much compared to the Patriots.
