Canadian Rookie Chase Claypool Has Lofty Ambitions
Chase Claypool may be at the very start of his NFL career, but his ability and ambition is already impressing.
The 6â€4, 238-pound wide receiver from Abbotsford, B.C, is not yet a starter for the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, he has performed well on the looks he has gotten throughout Pittsburgh’s first two games.Â
In his debut against the New York Giants, he caught a high third-down pass from Ben Roethlisberger 28-yard completion in his first NFL catch.
In Pittsburgh’s 26 – 21 win over the Broncos, Chase Claypool had an 84-yard touchdown catch. It’s the longest touchdown in league history by a Canadian player.

While the present is going so well for him, Chase Claypool has his eyes set on the future. He has ambitions towards making the Pro Bowl, and revealed coach Mike Tomlin’s ambitious goals for the season.

“I think it’s a really good opportunity for me to make some plays when I’m not on offence and kind of get my name out there even further.
“My goal through that is to make the Pro Bowl through special teams. Obviously [also] hopefully through offence but special teams would be nice.”
