Adams has unfollowed the Jets on Instagram, and he has removed any reference to the Jets from his bio.
Adams is still following the Jets on Twitter. So who knows what any of it means?
This is a bit of a surprising development as Adams has been a key piece of the Jets defense in his first couple of years in the league. In fact, he has become arguably their best player on that side of the ball as the cornerstone asset of the puzzle in the secondary.

However, the Jets have struggled to find any type of sustainable success in the last couple of years, which could be a driving factor in what could be possible frustration with his situation. Adams has become one of the top safeties in the league in his first two-plus years that may waste away the prime years of his career with a team that is still in rebuild mode.
Ultimately, only time will tell what Adams’ long-term plans are in New York if that will extend beyond his rookie deal.
