NFL power rankings: Playoff teams from 12-1

12. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles won the NFC East, which isn’t really winning anything of note. Philadelphia has about five player who have been healthy from start to finish, so despite reaching the playoffs, it’s been a tough year in the city of Brotherly Love.

11. Buffalo Bills

Buffalo hasn’t beaten a single good team this year. The Bills are talented defensively but the offense is going to have a rough time scoring points against any quality defense.

10. Houston Texans

The Texans can be very dangerous, but they’ve had ample games where they don’t show up. Tough to believe in a team with no consistency.

9. Tennessee Titans

Ryan Tannehill, A.J. Brown and Derrick Henry are playing great, but is that going to be enough to handle business in New England? Maybe, but that’s a tall order.

8. Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota has been solid all year, but going 10-6 and being the sixth seed creates a tough road. That road starting in the Bayou against the Saints? Oof. Not easy for Minnesota.

7. Seattle Seahawks

Seattle could have won the NFC West but fell inches short on Sunday night. Now, the Seahawks hope to win in Philadelphia before likely setting up Round 3 with the Niners.

6. Green Bay Packers

Green Bay won 13 games, but there are a bevy of questions about whether its actually good. The Packers are talented, but this is about Aaron Rodgers being at his best in the postseason.

5. New England Patriots

These are the Patriots. If they didn’t have their history, they might be 10th or lower on this list, but they do have the history.

4. San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco has the NFC’s top seed and a damn good roster/coaching staff. It’s going to be brutal beaten the Niners at home, even if you’re going in there with a Hall of Fame quarterback.

3. New Orleans Saints

The Saints get the nod in the NFC because the combination of Drew Brees and Sean Payton is proven and then some. Also, tough to beat them twice in a season.

2. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs are absolutely rolling and somehow ended up with the No. 2 seed. They are the one team Baltimore might not want to face in the AFC Championship Game.

1. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are the best team in football right now. It would be stunning if they don’t at least host the AFC title game considering Lamar Jackson, a good defense and a great staff.
