NFL power rankings, Week 7: Bills sit atop the AFC
Looking the AFC version of our Week 7 NFL Power Rankings, the Buffalo Bills have taken control of the conference.
16. Houston Texans (LW: 15)
The Texans are competitive every week, but they don’t have enough talent to win most weekends.
15. Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 16)Â
Pittsburgh has to move up the NFL power rankings after upsetting Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The question is if that’s a new start, or just a blip.
14. Denver Broncos (LW: 10)
Denver has to fall. towards the bottom. The Broncos have the league’s worst offense and a defense that must be getting tired of the same script.
13. Cleveland Browns (LW: 11)
The Browns are 2-4 and now play the Ravens, Bengals, Buccaneers and Bills. They’d be really lucky to sit 3-7 after 10 games.
12. Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 9)
At 1-4 and coming off their bye, the Raiders have to get going if they want any chance of making a move in the AFC. Up next, Houston.
11. Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 8)
Jacksonville started 2-1 but has since lost three straight. The Jags must find a way to beat the New York Giants at home, or face a long road back.

10. New England Patriots (LW: 13)Â
With the Bears coming into Foxboro on Monday night, there’s a great chance the Patriots are 4-3 after this weekend.
9. Indianapolis Colts (LW: 14)Â
Indianapolis is somehow playing for first place in the division when it takes on the Titans this Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
8. New York Jets (LW: 12)
At some point, we have to believe in the Jets. They’ve been inconsistent offensively, but at 4-2, the defense is legit and so are the rookies.
7. Tennessee Titans (LW: 7)
Tennessee won three straight before its bye week, and now it’s the Colts with a chance to sweep the season series.
6. Miami Dolphins (LW: 4)
The Dolphins started 3-0, got hurt, and now they’re 3-3. The good news? Miami has five very winnable games ahead.
5. Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 6)
The Chargers are 4-2, but it’s ugly. The offense needs to be much better and more explosive.

4. Baltimore Ravens (LW: 3)
The Ravens have to stop blowing huge leads. It’s a huge issue.
3. Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 5)
Cincinnati isn’t firing on all cylinders at 3-3, but Joe Burrow is starting to look like the stud he was in 2021.
2. Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 2)
The Chiefs lost to Buffalo, but have to feel good about the defense. Now, if they can get a little more help in the pass rush …
1. Buffalo Bills (LW: 1)
After beating the Chiefs at Arrowhead for the second straight season, there’s no doubt who the top dog in the AFC is.
