NFL Week 14 odds: Making a case for each favorite

We’re entering NFL Week 14, and the favorites have a chance to get critical wins this weekend.

New England Patriots at Los Angeles Rams (-6)

The Rams have arguably the best defense in football, and play the offensively-limited Patriots. Tough matchup for Cam Newton.

Arizona Cardinals (-2.5) at New York Giants

Kyler Murray and Co. have more talent and are desperate for a win after falling out of the playoff picture. The Giants could struggle to contain Murray in the pocket.

Dallas Cowboys (-3.5) at Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals have two wins and are starting Brandon Allen at quarterback. Seriously.

Denver Broncos at Carolina Panthers (-3.5)

The Panthers are off their bye week and although they’re dealing with COVID issues, they have significant advantages in rest and quarterback play.

Houston Texans (-1.5) at Chicago Bears

Deshaun Watson vs. Mitch Trubisky.

Kansas City Chiefs (-7.5) at Miami Dolphins

Patrick Mahomes is the best player in football, the Dolphins have struggled offensively and the Dolphins, while promising at 8-4, this is a set up in class.

Minnesota Vikings at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6.5)

Tom Brady and Co. are coming off the bye after losing two straight. Minnesota has barely beaten Carolina and Jacksonville at home. Tough spot.

Tennessee Titans (-7.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars

The Titans need a win to stay atop the AFC South, and Jacksonville hasn’t won a game since Week 1.

Indianapolis Colts (-2.5) at Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders were beaten 43-6 by the Falcons two weeks ago and needed a miracle to beat the Jets. Indianapolis has the better defense by a significant margin and should carry the day.

New York Jets at Seattle Seahawks (-13.5)

Lol.

Atlanta Falcons (-2.5) at Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles is 3-9 and just got beat 45-0 despite allowing only 69 yards passing. Atlanta has the talent to embarrass a checked-out Chargers team.

Green Bay Packers (-7.5) at Detroit Lions

Green Bay is fighting for home-field advantage in the NFC, and it gets a Lions team without much defensive talent to keep Aaron Rodgers in check.

New Orleans Saints (-7) at Philadelphia Eagles

Doesn’t matter if Carson Wentz or Jalen Hurts plays. Beating the Saints and their defense will be a brutal task.

Washington Football Team at San Francisco 49ers (-4.5)

The 49ers need to win to keep their playoff hopes alive. For Washington, tough to come across the country and beat a better roster.

Pittsburgh Steelers (-2) at Buffalo Bills

After losing its first game of the season, Pittsburgh will look to bounce back by blitzing Josh Allen and trying to build on its league-leading takeaway total.

Baltimore Ravens (-1) at Cleveland Browns

The Ravens either win or they face extinction in the AFC playoff race.
