NFL Week 15 odds: Making a case for each underdog

NFL Week 15 begins with the Jets at the Ravens on Thursday Night Football. We make a case for each underdog bet in NFL Week 15.

New York Jets at Baltimore Ravens (-15)

The Jets winning this game? No shot. New York covering? Possible. Adam Gase’s team can stop the run and Sam Darnold occasionally has the big game. Both will need to happen for a close game.

Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers (-4.5)

The Bears have won three straight. When the Packers played the Bears in Week 1, they only scored 10 points. No reason to believe this isn’t tight with five minutes left.

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs (-10)

Denver is playing well behind rookie quarterback Drew Lock. The Chiefs are coming off an emotional high of beating the Patriots. Trap game?

Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans (-3)

Houston is going to be furious after being embarrassed by the Broncos. The Texans have their backs to the wall, and while Tennessee has been hot, Houston is the better team.

Miami Dolphins at New York Giants (-3)

The Giants have lost nine straight. Case closed.

New England Patriots (-9) at Cincinnati Bengals

The Patriots haven’t been able to score at all in recent games. Cincinnati isn’t going to win, but if it can score even 14 points, it has a real chance to cover.

Philadelphia Eagles (-6) at Washington Redskins

Washington has actually won two of its last three, is at home, and the Eagles barely survived playing the Giants at home. Welcome to the NFC East.

Seattle Seahawks (-6) at Carolina Panthers

Carolina has been terrible in recent weeks, so this is a tough case to make. The Panthers need to ride Christian McCaffrey for four quarters to have hope.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3.5) at Detroit Lions

Bad Jameis is always around the corner. That’s the fear for the Bucs and their fans.

Cleveland Browns (-2.5) at Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals have beaten some bad teams. The Browns are a bad team waiting for this miserable season to end. Prime spot for Kyler Murray to get his fourth win.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Oakland Raiders (-6.5)

Oakland has lost three straight to go from AFC West contender to after-ran. Might be the time to catch the Raiders being down emotionally, although this is their final home game in Oakland.

Minnesota Vikings (-2.5) at Los Angeles Chargers

Philip Rivers never loses easily. This will absolutely come down to the final two minutes.

Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco 49ers (-11)

Matt Ryan and the Falcons are going to put up some points. The question is whether the defense can do enough to cover.

Los Angeles Rams at Dallas Cowboys (PICK)

We’re treating the Cowboys as underdogs, considering the home team always gives three points in an even affair. Dallas is coming off 10 days rest, needs the game and is at AT&T Stadium. This is it for the Cowboys.

Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh Steelers (-2)

Buffalo has the better quarterback, a damn good defense and knows a win gives it a playoff berth. This game is very even.

Indianapolis Colts at New Orleans Saints (-9)

Brutal ask for the Colts. Very, very tough to see a win or cover here. Jacoby Brissett will need to come up big.
