NFL Week 3 lines and odds: Reason to bet on each underdog

NFL Week 3 has some potentially big wins for bettors. We examine why you should bet the underdog in NFL Week 3.

Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville Jaguars (-3)

The Dolphins are 0-2 but have lost close games to the Bills and Patriots. Jacksonville isn’t anywhere near those two in talent or pedigree.

Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons (-3.5)

The Bears are 2-0 and Atlanta is 0-2 coming off one of the worst meltdowns in NFL history. Provided Mitch Trubisky doesn’t make a ton of mistakes, Chicago can win.

Cincinnati Bengals at Philadelphia Eagles (-5.5)

Carson Wentz is a mess, the Eagles’ linebackers struggle in space and the Bengals have a real quarterback in Joe Burrow.

Houston Texans at Pittsburgh Steelers (-4)

Jeff Driskel just covered the spread in Pittsburgh. Deshaun Watson, desperate for his first win of 2020, should be capable of doing the same.

Los Angeles Rams at Buffalo Bills (-2)

The Rams are arguably the better team in this battle of undefeated squads. If Los Angeles can get pressure on Josh Allen, the turnovers may follow.

Las Vegas Raiders at New England Patriots (-6.5)

The Raiders pulled off a sizable upset on Monday with the win over New Orleans. If Derek Carr can find his secondary options, New England is a beatable opponent for the skilled Raiders.

San Francisco 49ers (-4) at New York Giants

The 49ers are dealing with injuries to Joey Bosa, Dee Ford, Deebo Samuel, Soloman Thomas, Richard Sherman, Raheem Mostert and Jimmy Garoppolo. That’s the argument.

Tennessee Titans (-2.5) at Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota is home, talented and incredibly desperate. The Vikings aren’t playing well, but they have the capability to turn things around.

Washington Football Team at Cleveland Browns (-7)

Washington’s defense is good enough to cause problems, especially for the inconsistent Baker Mayfield. It’s all about rattling his cage with pressure.

Carolina Panthers at Los Angeles Chargers (-6.5)

The Chargers have a quarterback controversy and the Panthers have been throwing the ball well behind Teddy Bridgewater. Perhaps a close game with an upset at the end.

New York Jets at Indianapolis Colts (-10.5)

Why bet the Jets? Because miracles happen, and Philip Rivers loves to throw interceptions.

Dallas Cowboys at Seattle Seahawks (-5)

Seattle struggles to cover and doesn’t generate a pass rush. Dak Prescott should find his weapons all day in a shootout.

Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals (-5.5)

The Lions should be 1-1 if not for a Week 1 meltdown against the Bears. Detroit has weapons with the return of Kenny Golladay on the perimeter, enough to scare the Cardinals.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6) at Denver Broncos

Sometimes, you don’t make the bet. Jeff Driskel isn’t beating or covering against Tom Brady.

Green Bay Packers at New Orleans Saints (-3)

Green Bay is playing really good ball behind a seemingly rejuvenated Aaron Rodgers. The Packers are, frankly, better than New Orleans in all facets.

Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens (-3.5)

The Chiefs are defending champs are have beaten Lamar Jackson both times they’ve met. Also, Patrick Mahomes still exists.
