NFL Week 4: Making a case for the favorite

NFL Week 4 kicks off with the Packers VS the Eagles on Thursday Night Football. We make a case for betting the favorite in NFL Week 4.

Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers (-4.5)

Green Bay is at home on a short week against a banged-up Eagles team. The Packers are also playing terrific football.

Carolina Panthers at Houston Texans (-5)

Houston is coming home and getting Kyle Allen in his second-career start. Should be a good day for the beleaguered Texans secondary.

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens (-7)

What is there not to like about the way Baltimore is playing, even after losing to the Chiefs in Arrowhead? The Ravens are clearly the better team.

Kansas City Chiefs (-6) at Detroit Lions

Kansas City might be the league’s best team, and certainly has its best offense. The Chiefs are better than the Lions by a significant margin.

Los Angeles Chargers (-16.5) at Miami Dolphins

The Chargers are playing the Dolphins.

New England Patriots (-7) at Buffalo Bills

The Patriots and Chiefs are the league’s to best teams. Buffalo is good defensively and Josh Allen makes things happen, but New England should be able to stifle the Bills’ attack.

Oakland Raiders at Indianapolis Colts (-7)

The Raiders are coming off losses of 18 and 20 points. Now they get the Colts, who have handled far better teams in the Falcons and Titans over the past two weeks.

Tennessee Titans at Atlanta Falcons (-4)

The Falcons are at home and have the much better quarterback. Why should anybody expect Marcus Mariota to beat a good team with a good quarterback on the road?

Washington Redskins at New York Giants (-3)

Daniel Jones season is upon us. Jones looked very good against Tampa Bay, and the Redskins just finished being blown out on Monday night at home.

Seattle Seahawks (-4.5) at Arizona Cardinals

The Seahawks are coming off a horrific defeat at home. You know what practice will be like this week? Wrong time to draw Seattle.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams (-9)

The Rams haven’t been terrific offensively, so the line is high. Still, the Buccaneers have been underwhelming, and Los Angeles’ defense looks much-improved.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos (-3)

The Broncos’ crowd is always great, the defense is still good and Joe Flacco hasn’t been horrible. Best case we can make.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears (-2.5)

The Bears have an awesome defense that should shut down Kirk Cousins. As long as Mitch Trubisky plays a turnover-free game, Chicago has a terrific chance to win and cover.

Dallas Cowboys (-3) at New Orleans Saints

The Cowboys look like the NFC’s best team and get the Saints without Drew Brees.

Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (-4)

Why are the Steelers favorites as an 0-3 team playing Mason Rudolph? Because the Bengals are in town. Enough said.
