NFL Week 5 odds: Making a case for the favorite

Approaching NFL Week 5, we’re past the quarter mark of the season. We take a look at five favorites bets in NFL Week 5.

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks (-2)

The Seahawks are at home on a short week. Also, the Rams just finished giving up 55 points to the Buccaneers.

Arizona Cardinals at Cincinnati Bengals (-4.5)

The Cardinals might not win more than two games this season. The same is true of the Bengals, but at least they’re at home.

Atlanta Falcons at Houston Texans (-5)

Houston has to bounce back after such an ugly offensive showing against the Panthers, right? Right? The Falcons have all kinds of problems on their end as well.

Baltimore Ravens (-4) at Pittsburgh Steelers

Baltimore is simply the better team, and the Steelers are coming off a short week. After two losses, the Ravens figure to be laser-focused coming into this one.

Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans (-3)

The Titans scored a huge road win over the Falcons. Now Marcus Mariota is looking to get the winning record back, taking on a Bills team which might be without Josh Allen.

Chicago Bears (-4.5) at Oakland Raiders

The Bears have the best defense in football. The Raiders don’t have a great offense. Case closed.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Carolina Panthers (-3.5)

With Kyle Allen, the Panthers are suddenly playing decent football with a pair of road wins. Jacksonville is tough, but Allen has Christian McCaffrey on his side.

Minnesota Vikings (-4.5) at New York Giants

The Vikings know it’s time for Kirk Cousins to put up or shut. Cousins knows the same. Luckily, he draws a hideous defense this week.

New York Jets at Philadelphia Eagles (-14)

The Eagles are playing one of the four worst teams in football. Should be no contest.

New England Patriots (-15.5) at Washington Redskins

No explanation needed. Yikes.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints (-5.5)

Teddy Bridgewater hasn’t done much, but he hasn’t had too. The Saints are playing well around him, and in the Superdome, they are awfully tough to beat.

Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers (-6.5)

The Broncos are still searching for their first win on the season. Los Angeles knows it has to have this game, and despite myriad injuries, should have no issue landing it.

Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys (-3.5)

The Cowboys are the NFC’s best team in terms of all-around talent. At home, Dallas should get back on the winning track by winning in the trenches against a suspect Green Bay front.

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs (-11)

The Chiefs are damn near unstoppable. At home? Indianapolis needs to play its best game while Kansas City bumbles around. Not likely.

Cleveland Browns at San Francisco 49ers (-3.5)

The 49ers are undefeated and coming off a bye. San Francisco should be able to move the ball on Cleveland, which has dealt with injuries in the secondary.
