NFL Week 5 schedule: 5 best games to watch this week
Looking at the NFL Week 5 schedule, here’s a quintet of terrific contests you can’t afford to miss this weekend.
5. Green Bay Packers (-3) at Cincinnati Bengals
Who would have seen this game being on the list before the season? Sure, the Packers are a top contender on an annual basis behind quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but the Bengals? Yep, Cincinnati is 3-1 and rolling, tied atop the AFC North. While the Bengals are a home underdog, winning this Sunday could vault them into people around the nation seeing them as more than a cute story line early October.

4. San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals (-5.5)
The NFC West is the best division in football, and all four of its team grace this piece. The Cardinals are the league’s lone unbeaten squad, having hammered the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4 at SoFi Stadium. Now Arizona comes home to take on the 49ers, who are dealing with a two-game losing streak and uncertainty regarding whether Trey Lance or Jimmy Garoppolo will be under center. It’s a huge chance for the Niners to get back into the divisional race, or for the Cards to pull away.
3. Cleveland Browns at Los Angeles Chargers (-1.5)
The Browns and Chargers are both 3-1, and now meet up in Los Angeles. Justin Herbert has proven to be one of the league’s elite quarterbacks, and he’s leading the Chargers towards what appears to be a playoff-bound campaign. Meanwhile, the Browns have won three straight but the offense has struggled at times, with quarterback Baker Mayfield only having thrown two touchdowns all year. Whoever wins could own a critical tiebreaker.

2. Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs (-2.5)
The Chiefs have the best offense in football. The Bills have the best defense in football, but that’s been on the back of playing the Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Football Team, Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans. This is a chance to prove the numbers are no fluke with Patrick Mahomes and Co. welcoming them to town. If the Bills win, they’re two games ahead of Kansas City with the breaker. If the Chiefs win, they move ahead of Buffalo on a tiebreaker. Huge swing.
1. Los Angeles Rams (-2.5) at Seattle SeahawksÂ
Best game because it has the most implications. The Rams are trying to keep from having a losing streak, while Seattle is back in business after beating the 49ers last weekend. If Seattle wins, Los Angeles goes from the consensus best team in football to third place in the matter of two weeks.
