Odell Beckham Jr. – I’m in the Best Shape of my Life
After a tough two years, Odell Beckham Jr. says he’s in the best physical and mental shape of his life.
The star Cleveland Browns wide receiver was speaking after his team’s 23 – 3 win over the New York Jets. In the Monday Night Football clash, Odell Beckham Jr. proved his quality, and put a longstanding ‘beef’ to rest.
Odell Beckham Jr. finished with six receptions for 161 receiving yards. That was more than the entire Jets pass-catching corps, which only had 125 receiving yards. He also rushed a career-best 89 yards to the endzone off a Baker Mayfield pass in the third quarter.
“I think I’m in a better physical, mental space than I’ve ever been in my life,” said Beckham.

“I was joking with my trainers, I’m trying to hit 24, 23 [miles per hour]. Not saying it’ll happen, but I’m working for it.
“It didn’t feel like [that was the] fastest I could run. I was just trying to get to the end zone.”
The buildup to the game was dominated by the public disagreement between Beckham and Jets Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams.
Beckham accused Williams of nearly derailing his career with an ankle injury two years ago. Beckham asserts that he was injured as a result of Williams taking ‘cheap shots’ and ‘dirty hits’.
Williams responded to the allegation by saying ‘Who?’. Beckham had the last laugh on Monday night, responding with the same question when asked about Williams after the game.

Williams also denied that Beckham was a ‘dynamic player’ which was proved wrong on Monday.
“Everybody has a right to their own opinion,” Beckham said after the game.Â
“He’s a phenomenal coach, and he’s got a great defense. I’m done talking about it.”
