Reggie Wayne Receives Interest From Multiple NFL Title Contenders
After 14 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, veteran wide receiver Reggie Wayne is a free agent and currently looking for work in the NFL. Although Wayne clearly isn’t the same receiver he once was, the six-time Pro Bowler is drawing interest around the league.
According to Dave Furst of WRTV, many title-contending teams in the NFL have expressed interest in the veteran wideout:
Here you go-among the teams showing interest in former #Colts WR Reggie Wayne: #Patriots #Ravens #Texans #Packers. Broncos have backed off.

In 15 games with the Colts last season, Wayne caught 64 passes while racking up 779 yards and two touchdowns in the process. Not Pro-Bowl-caliber numbers, but in the right situation, Wayne can still make an impact on the gridiron.
Every team mentioned as a potential suitor for Wayne, with the exception of the Houston Texans, has top-tier quarterback under center. That being said, the veteran wideout has a shot to play a major role on a title-contending team. Wayne, like many veterans at this point in their career, will more than likely choose the team that gives him the best chance to win another Super Bowl.
The Green Bay Packers or New England Patriots may give Wayne the best shot while also playing a sizable role as a threat in the passing game. New England loves veteran receivers like Wayne and may ultimately be where the 36-year-old lands.
As for the Packers, Wayne would round out an already talented receiving corps that includes Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson. Green Bay is already considered one of the best teams in the NFC and would improve the passing game that much more with the addition of the veteran to Aaron Rodgers’ offensive arsenal.
