Tiger Woods Bettor Would Win $10 Million on Grand Slam Sweep
James Adducci became well-known after winning $1.2 million on a bet of $85,000 that Tiger Woods would be the 2019 Master Champion. The 39-year old from Wisconsin is back making headlines in the betting world.
Adducci is sticking with Woods. Earlier this week, he told several media outlets that he was in Las Vegas and would place a $100,000 bet that Woods would win golf’s Grand Slam this year. The wager is at odds of 100 to 1.
Adducci made his bet at William Hill sportsbook which is the same place he made his original $85,000 bet on Woods winning the Masters at 14 to 1. If Woods sweeps the four majors this year, Adducci would take home winnings of $10 million.
The U.S. director for trading at William Hill said that it was great that Tiger was back, but it was a tough day for our sportsbook as it was the biggest loss ever, but great for golf.
The PGA Championship will be played at Bethpage Black where Woods is a previous champion and the U.S. Open will be at Pebble Beach where Woods has also won. At several sportsbooks Woods is 8 to 1 to win next week’s PGA Championship which tees off May 16 from Long Island, New York.
The Open will be played at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland and Woods has never played a round of tournament golf there.
After becoming famous for his payout in the Masters, Adducci had his criminal history reported in the news, but Adducci said that winning the bet on Woods has nothing to do with his criminal record since his last arrest was in 2017 and it is 2019 now.
