The defending NFC champion Seattle Seahawks can’t seem to catch a break this season. Seattle may have won their fourth game in a row on Sunday with a win over the Baltimore Ravens, but it didn’t come without a cost.

According to Sheil Kapadia of ESPN, running back Thomas Rawls will miss the rest of the 2015 NFL season with an ankle injury:

Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls will miss the rest of the season after suffering a broken ankle and torn ligaments in Sunday’s victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

As if losing veteran back Marshawn Lynch wasn’t bad enough for the Seahawks, Rawls going down for the season made matters that much worse in Seattle. The Seahawks appear to have turned the corner after a rough start to the year, but the running game has taken blow after blow.

Along with both of the team’s best backs on the shelf, Seattle also lost three-time Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham to a season-ending knee injury recently. Needless to say, the team’s offense will need to adjust yet again if Pete Carroll and company plan on making a deep playoff run for a third straight year.

Although Lynch is expected to miss the rest of the season, there’s a chance he may return via Kapadia:

“We’ll see how Marshawn does,” Carroll said. “He was back in rehabbing with us. We’ll see where he is. He’s got a chance to get back.”

Despite the team’s losses on the offensive side of the football, Seattle is still in a good position to clinch one of the two NFC Wild Card spots with three games remaining in the regular season. The Seahawks will face the Cleveland Browns, St. Louis Rams, and the Arizona Cardinals in the last three weeks.

In Week 14, the Seahawks are heavy favorites to beat the Browns in Seattle. Russell Wilson and company are -14.5 favorites, according to Sportsbook.ag. The Browns stand little chance of taking down the Seahawks, especially on their home field.
