Eagles coach says Carson Wentz, Golden Tate have to build chemistry ‘fast’
The Philadelphia Eagles made the big splash move last week to acquire former Pro Bowl wide receiver Golden Tate from the Detroit Lions.
It has brought aboard another proven factor in the passing game that quarterback Carson Wentz could greatly utilize moving forward this season. Head coach Doug Pederson has voiced that he believes that Wentz and Tate need to develop a strong bond on the field, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

“Well, it’s going to take a little time,†Pederson said in his Wednesday press conference. “They’re going to have to spend a little extra time either during or after practice and getting some extra throws possibly just to kind of get a feel. I think as a quarterback you’d want to do that, and same way with Golden. Matthew Stafford throws it probably a little differently than Carson does. So getting used to Carson is just something he’s going to have to do. But we’ve got to do it fast, like now. It’s going to take some time.â€
There is a strong sense of urgency that Pederson realizes that the team must have with this situation where things lie with the Eagles. The team is currently sitting in the second spot in the NFC East standings at a 4-4 record just a game back of the Washington Redskins heading into Week 10 action

Tate could prove to be a major addition to the passing game as a primary target behind his playmaking ability. He has developed into a stable offensive factor that has seen him post three 1,000 receiving yard campaigns in the last four years prior to the 2018 campaign.
The 30-year-old has maintained that high level of production this season with 44 catches for 517 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The Eagles may look to feature him greatly in the passing game to make the most of his game-changing talent.
