Brooks Koepka Favored to Win U.S. Open
One of the world’s best known golf courses will once again host the U.S. Open as the third major of 2019 begins. It takes place in California at Pebble Beach Golf Links June 13-16. Odds makers have made Brooks Koepka the favorite to win the title.
Brooks Koepka at +550 has the best odds to win his fifth major title in the last seven played. The top 5 best odds to win the U.S. Open rounds out with Dustin Johnson at +800, Tigers Woods at +1000, Rory McIlroy at +1200 and Jordan Spieth at +1400.
Justin Rose at +1600, Justin Thomas at +1800, Jason Day and Rickie Fowler at +2000 and Francisco Molinari at +2200, have the next five best odds to win the year’s third major.

Brooks Koepka has won the last two U.S. Opens. In April Koepka finished tied for second at the Masters and won the PGA Championship in May for the second time in his career.
Koepka is on an impressive run having won four of the last six majors he has played, including last month’s PGA Championship.
Rory McIlroy used a closing 61 to win the Canadian Open on Sunday by seven strokes over Shane Lowry. McIlroy finished 22-under par and is likely to move up the futures board for the U.S. Open prior to the tournament teeing off on Thursday.
The U.S. Open was last played at Pebble Beach in 2010. That year, Graeme McDowell from Northern Ireland became the first player from Europe to win the U.S. Open title since 1970. Pebble Beach has hosted the U.S. Open five times previous to this week’s tournament.

The par-71 course of 7,040 yards is a photographer’s dream but can be very tough on the players. The par-3 7th hole is considered one of the world’s most photographed in golf, while the par-5 14th is one of the toughest each year on the PGA Tour.
