Sony Michel ‘Progressing Quickly’ From Knee Operation
New England Patriots running back Sony Michel is recovering well from an injury that wasn’t public knowledge until now.
Sony Michel was absent from the New England Patriots’ offseason program. It raised eyebrows at the time, and no injury was confirmed until after minicamp.
It was then reported that Sony Michel had undergone arthroscopic knee surgery. According to noises coming from the Patriots camp, Michel is firing on all cylinders.
According to reports, he is spending “considerable time†at the TB12 Sports Therapy Center in Foxborough.

The 2018 first round pick is ‘progressing quickly’ and running at ‘full tilt’, according to NFL sources.
Michel established himself during New England’s postseason run, playing a vital role in their Super Bowl LIII victory.
He recorded 336 yards as well as an NFL-record six touchdowns in the Super Bowl championship game. He also finished the regular season with 931 rushing yards and 209 carries (4.45 YPC).

Despite playing well last season, Michel is not guaranteed to play a big role in 2019. He has James White, Rex Burkhead and James Develin to compete with in the Patriots backfield.
As well as that, the team drafted Alabama tailback Damien Harris, who has reportedly impressed in the Spring.
