NFL Week 8 odds: 5 best bets on favorites

5. Indianapolis Colts (-5.5) vs. Denver Broncos

The Colts are coming off a pair of huge wins over the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans. Now, they are finally healthy and getting to welcome in theBroncos. Denver is 2-5 and is already selling off veterans, with wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders being sent to the San Francisco 49ers for third and fourth-round draft picks. One would imagine the Colts are ready to keep moving towards the playoffs this weekend, while the Broncos have to be thinking about the next move before the trade deadline.

4. Los Angeles Rams (-13) vs. Cincinnati Bengals

This is a huge line, but look at these teams. The Bengals are winless and don’t look to be notching their first victory anytime soon. The Rams are 4-3 and desperate to stay on track after handling the Atlanta Falcons last weekend to break a three-game losing streak. If Cincinnati in this game at half-time it would be an upset. The Bengals are one of the worst rushing teams in modern NFL history, meaning Aaron Donald and that front can pin their collective ears back. Long day for Andy Dalton.

3. Tennessee Titans (-2.5) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Titans are 3-4 and nothing too special, but the Buccaneers have a way of beating themselves. Jameis Winston is coming off a five-turnover performance in London, and while the bye week should help Tampa Bay, there’s little reason to see Winston thriving against a good Titans defense. If Marcus Mariota was still starting for Tennessee under center, this would be a stay-away. Ryan Tannehill is getting the nod, though, and he’s an upgrade.

2. Detroit Lions (-6.5) vs. New York Giants

The Lions are getting the Giants in a game they must win to stay alive in the NFC playoff picture. Daniel Jones has looked awful for Big Blue since his big debut against Tampa Bay, and now he goes on the road against a desperate team. Tough to see the Giants putting up much of a fight. Additionally, look for Matthew Stafford to throw all over an undermanned New York secondary.

1. Seattle Seahawks (-6.5) at Atlanta Falcons

Seattle has the luxury of playing a team that quit a month ago in the Falcons. Factor in that Matt Ryan might not even play after injuring his ankle, and Atlanta will be lucky to make this a game for 20 minutes. The Seahawks are going to be playing angry after a bad loss to the Baltimore Ravens, making this all the more a cakewalk.
