NFL Week 12 odds: Making a case for the favorites
NFL Week 12 kicks off with the Texans VS the Colts on Thursday Night Football. We examine all the favorites in NFL Week 12.
Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans (-4)
The Texans are at home and desperately need to win. A loss, and they fall into second place with Indy holding the tiebreaker via season sweep. Deshaun Watson is the best player on the field.
Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints (-9.5)
New Orleans gets back home and draws Carolina, which effectively put itself out of the playoff picture with a 29-3 loss to the Falcons. Look for the Saints to play stout defense. Close on the cover but definite on the moneyline.
Denver Broncos at Buffalo Bills (-4.5)
Vegas doesn’t like the Bills. Only laying 4.5 points to the Broncos in Buffalo? This is a steal provided you believe in Josh Allen to make a few players against a decent defense.
Detroit Lions (-3.5) at Washington Redskins
It’s the Redskins. How much convincing does someone need. They were just down by 30 points at home to the Jets.
Miami Dolphins at Cleveland Browns (-11)
Miami isn’t good, but this is a large line. Take the moneyline, pray Baker Mayfield doesn’t throw a few interceptions and cash in.
New York Giants at Chicago Bears (-6.5)
Chicago has a really good defense, and the Giants’ offense is Saquon Barkley and nothing else. Still, stay far away from the spread. This is another strict moneyline play.

Oakland Raiders (-3) at New York Jets
The Raiders are playing terrific football, and they get another bad team on the docket. Derek Carr is quietly having his best season.
Pittsburgh Steelers (-7) at Cincinnati Bengals
Pittsburgh is drawing the only winless team in the NFL, and said team is starting Ryan Finley at quarterback.
Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles (-2)
The Eagles knocks they need to start ticking off wins or face extinction for the year. Philadelphia is at home and Seattle doesn’t have a great defense, so perhaps this is the week Carson Wentz has a big game.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons (-4)
The Falcons are rolling. They beat the Saints by 17 points in the Superdome before going to Carolina and winning 29-3. Jameis Winston is already trying to throw interceptions.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans (-3)
The Titans just beat the Chiefs, are at home and coming off a bye. Meanwhile, the Jaguars had a miserable showing against the Colts.
Dallas Cowboys at New England Patriots (-6)
It’s the Patriots at home.

Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers (-3)
San Francisco lost to the Seahawks and narrowly avoided a huge upset against the Cardinals. If there’s ever a time to get fired up and prove a point, it’s on Sunday night against Aaron Rodgers.
Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) at Los Angeles Rams
Nobody is playing better football than Baltimore. Good luck to Jared Goff against that secondary.
