Jameis Winston says goodbye to Bucs fans in Twitter post

With superstar quarterback and six-time Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady, agreeing to a two-year contract with the Bucs earlier this week, the team has decided to move on from longtime starter, Jameis Winston.

On Saturday, Jameis Winston took to Twitter to say goodbye to the Bucs faithful. As well as that, he confessed his love for the city of Tampa Bay. Meanwhile, he also seemed to promise to be in the next Super Bowl, which will be played in Tampa Bay.

Winston is coming off a season in which he threw for a league-best 5,109 yards. Although, he hasn’t exactly been a hot commodity around the league, with no teams ready to make him their starter. Along with throwing for over 5,000 yards, Winston also threw for 30 touchdowns. Additionally, he had 30 interceptions, becoming the first quarterback in league history to do so.

There’s been a lot of speculation about where Winston could play next with no clear indication as to where he may land, especially with starting jobs around the NFL filling up quickly. The New England Patriots remain an option for Winston as they have yet to replace Brady following the superstar’s announcement that he was headed for Tampa Bay.

Other potential options for Winston could be the Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Los Angeles Chargers. It remains to be seen whether any of these teams reach out to the veteran quarterback or if any franchise in the league is willing to offer him more than a backup role moving forward.
