NFL Week 6 lines and odds: Why each favorite could cover the spread
It’s Week 6 of the 2020 NFL season, and there’s a legion of great games on the slate to watch this weekend.
Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings (-4)
The Falcons just fired Dan Quinn, the defense is porous and now they hit the road for a Vikings team with two great receivers, a quality quarterback and a desperation about them.
Baltimore Ravens (-7.5) at Philadelphia Eagles
The Ravens are arguably the best team in football. Philadelphia has struggled all year to score consistently, and it won’t change on Sunday.
Chicago Bears at Carolina Panthers (-1.5)
Teddy Bridgewater has been fantastic this season, and while Chicago has a good defense, Nick Foles will struggle to keep up with Carolina on the road.
Cincinnati Bengals at Indianapolis Colts (-8)
The Bengals can’t block, and the Colts have the best defense in many categories. Indianapolis won’t score a ton, but it should be more than enough.
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3)
Pittsburgh has the best pass rush in football, a stifling run defense and Ben Roethlisberger, who has only lost twice to Cleveland since entering the NFL in 2004.
Denver Broncos at New England Patriots (-10)
Drew Lock is returning, but so is Cam Newton. The Patriots are at home, off a bye, off a loss, and get the banged-up Broncos coming across the country.

Detroit Lions (-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Lions are off a bye and getting a Jaguars team who, after winning in Week 1, haven’t been competitive for much of the last month.
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans (-3)
The Titans are one of two undefeated teams in the AFC, and Houston is already on its second coach with its lone win coming over the Jaguars.
Washington Football Team at New York Giants (-2.5)
Hell, the Giants have to win at some point. Also, Washington has the worst passing game in the NFL.
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins (-9.5)

Green Bay Packers (-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Packers are fresh after a bye, getting Davante Adams back, and have Aaron Rodgers playing like an MVP. Green Bay has a strong argument for the best team in football.

Los Angeles Rams (-3.5) at San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers benched Jimmy Garoppolo at halftime last week for C.J. Beathard. Los Angeles is 4-1 and in position to finish off San Francisco in the NFC West. The Rams are more talented, and should do so.
Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) at Buffalo Bills
Patrick Mahomes is coming off a loss and hearing the critics. Additionally, the Chiefs are great against the blitz, and only Tampa Bay blitzes more than the Bills. Tough matchup for Buffalo.
Arizona Cardinals (-2) at Dallas Cowboys
The Cardinals are facing Andy Dalton, not Dak Prescott. Arizona is the better team with a superior quarterback and coach. Look for a shootout.
