NFL 2021 Season – Top 5 offenses

There are plenty of high-powered NFL teams entering the 2021season, but which five are the toughest to stop? We run them down here.

5. Seattle Seahawks

If you’re making this list, you better have an elite quarterback. Russell Wilson certainly fits the bill, and has ample talent around him in Seattle. The receivers are top-notch with the duo of D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, while free-agent tight end Gerald Everett gives the Seahawks more punch. Factor in the improved offensive line after trading for Gabe Jackson and the return of running back Chris Carson, and Seattle is potent.

4. Buffalo Bills

Why not include the Bills here? Josh Allen played like a superstar after two uneven seasons in Buffalo, warranting MVP talk by year’s end. Stefon Diggs led the league in both receptions and receiving yardage during his first season with the Bills, and Buffalo has other weapons on the perimeter as well in youngster Gabriel Davis and veteran Emmanuel Sanders. Also, don’t forget about slot receiver Cole Beasley, who earned All-Pro honors in 2020.

3. Green Bay Packers

Obviously, we’re assuming Aaron Rodgers is still in Green Bay this season and doesn’t end up with the Denver Broncos or Las Vegas Raiders. If he does, strike this from the record. As it stands, Green Bay has one of the more diverse offenses in the league with Rodgers — the reigning MVP — at the controls. Davante Adams is a top-five receiver and Robert Tonyan looks the part of a young, star tight end entering his second season. Finally, the Packers have an elite running back in Aaron Jones and perhaps the league’s best offensive line.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tough to put the champs any lower than this. The Buccaneers have an ageless quarterback in Tom Brady, one of the NFL’s best offensive lines, a dynamic trio of receivers in Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown, and tight end Rob Gronkowski still making plays. There’s some concern about the age and injury issues with this group, but if Tampa Bay can stay healthy again, it’s going to have a very tough team to stop.

1. Kansas City Chiefs

Don’t need a ton of words here. The Chiefs have the most important player in the NFL with Patrick Mahomes under center. They have a pair of future Hall of Famers in tight end Travis Kelce and receiver Tyreek Hill, along with running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire and a completely revamped offensive line featuring Pro Bowl left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. and All-Pro left guard Joe Thuney.
