Suns star Chris Paul grateful for extra time to heal injuries ahead of NBA Finals
The Phoenix Suns sit at the doorstep of earning the franchise’s first NBA title. It also marks an opportunity for star point guard Chris Paul to garner his first championship in his 16th season. As he prepares for the 2021 NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks, Paul revealed that he’s dealing with a torn ligament in his right hand.

The 36-year-old voiced that the extra time off has helped him get the necessary rest for his injured hand.
“Each day that we’ve had off has been really good, and we all get a chance to rest up a little bit before we get it going again,” Paul said via ESPN.
The Suns need Paul at his best. He will be a pivotal part of the team’s game plan against the Bucks. He’s a game-changing factor that can take over a contest behind his playmaking as a scorer and distributor.

Chris Paul demonstrated that in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals. His 41 points were pivotal in sealing the series win. He scored 30 points in the second half that allowed the Suns to pull away in the fourth quarter.
The star point guard will have a tough matchup against Jrue Holiday, who has been pivotal to the Bucks’ deep playoff run. Paul will need to be a big factor on both ends of the floor for the Suns to capture their first NBA championship.
Game 1 of the NBA Finals will take place on Tuesday night in Phoenix.
