NFL Week 4 odds: 5 best bets on underdogs
The NFL Week 4 odds have been out for a few days, and a couple of the line trend towards taking the underdogs.
5. New York Giants (+7) at New Orleans Saints
This line s too big. yes, the Giants are 0-3, but they are inches from being 2-1. Meanwhile, the Saints have been brutal offensively in all three of their games despite sporting a 2-1 mark. Ultimately, New Orleans is the better team and this is the true home opener after having Week 1 rescheduled to Jacksonville after Hurricane Ida. Still, this line is too large, even with the Giants being a winless road dog.

4. Denver Broncos (+1) vs. Baltimore Ravens
All about value here. The Ravens might well be the better team, but they’re really beat up. Quarterback Lamar Jackson didn’t practice for two days while dealing with a back injury, and a litany of stars have already been lost for the season. Meanwhile, Denver is 3-0 and at home –albeit a soft 3-0 — after beating the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets. If the Ravens can’t cope with their injuries well, Denver can win as a home underdog.
3. Atlanta Falcons (+1.5) vs. Washington Football Team
It’s hard to believe in either of these teams, so why not take the home team getting 1.5 points? Washington has been brutal defensively despite having some of the best personnel in the league. However, the Falcons are atrocious offensively thus far even with tight end Kyle Pitts and receiver Calvin Ridley at the disposal of quarterback Matt Ryan.S something is likely to give here, and it makes sense to believe in the home side of this matchups between 1-2 teams.

2. Minnesota Vikings (+2) vs. Cleveland Browns
The Vikings are weird, as usual. Minnesota is 1-2 but lost Week 1 in overtime and then the following week when a 37-yard field goal sailed wide in the final seconds, sealing a defeat to the Arizona Cardinals. Last week, the Vikings crushed the Seattle Seahawks and now welcome in the Browns, who have beaten the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears. Are we sure the better team isn’t the home underdog?
1. Detroit Lions (+3) at Chicago Bears
Matt Nagy isn’t telling people who his quarterback is, saying it’s a game-time decision between Andy Dalton and Justin Fields. In short, the Bears are a broken team with a lost head coach. Conversely, the Lions were a 66-yard field goal away from beating the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. They’re the better team, with the better quarterback and coach.
