The Kansas City Chiefs fell to a second straight loss after the Buffalo Bills’ pushed to a comfortable road win.

The injury occurred in the third quarter. He finished the game with 13 rushing yards on seven carries along with one catch for 11 receiving yards. His absence leaves a significant void in the backfield as he was beginning to round into from this season.

Edwards-Helaire posted back-to-back 100 rushing yard performances. He currently ranks 13th in the league in rushing. His absence pushes the Chiefs to turn to Darrel Williams and Jerick McKinnon.

The Chiefs will likely depend more on the passing game behind star quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ arm. Kansas City is also dealing with an injury to Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who suffered a minor knee ailment against the Bills.

Hill isn’t expected to miss any playing time but will be hampered moving forward. This season, the Chiefs are in unfamiliar territory, currently sitting in last place in the AFC West standings with a 2-3 record.

The team’s biggest issue has been their lackluster play defensively, ranking last with 32.6 points per game allowed. If the Chiefs hope to turn it around, it will need to be much more than Mahomes’ stellar play.
