NFL Power Rankings, Week 7: Eagles tighten hold on NFC
With one team dominating proceedings so far, we take a look at the Week 7 NFL power rankings. The Philadelphia Eagles ran their record to 6-0 before their bye week, making them the clear choice atop the NFC.
16. Carolina Panthers (LW: 15)
Without Christian McCaffrey, this is the worst offense in the league.
15. Chicago Bears (LW: 14)
Chicago is going to give Carolina a serious run as the league’s worst offense. Should be a fun battle to watch…
14. Washington Commanders (LW: 16)
The Commanders are trying to win once more with Taylor Heinicke under center, while Carson Wentz recovers from finger surgery.
13. Detroit Lions (LW: 13)
The Lions get the gift of coming off their bye week to take on the Cowboys, in Dallas, with Dak Prescott. Good times.
12. New Orleans Saints (LW: 9)
New Orleans has a major problem; it has no quarterback. Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston aren’t the answers, but without a first-round pick next year (the Eagles own it), the road back is long.

11. Arizona Cardinals (LW: 10)
The Cardinals are 3-4, but all is not well with Arizona. The coach and quarterback appear to loathe each other.
10. Seattle Seahawks (LW: 12)
Seattle has to be thrilled. Geno Smith looks like an upgrade over Russell Wilson and the Seahawks have a treasure trove of extra draft picks.
9. Atlanta Falcons (LW: 11)
Atlanta has been able to win three games with a fun offense centered around a really creative scheme.
8. Los Angeles Rams (LW: 8)
The Rams desperately need to get healthy, and now they have the bye week to rest up before hosting the 49ers.
7. Green Bay Packers (LW: 5)

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 2)
The Buccaneers lost to the previously one-win Steelers. They can’t possibly do the same against the Panthers, right?
4. Dallas Cowboys (LW: 6)
The Cowboys moved up two spots because they played the Eagles tough and now get Dak Prescott back for games at home against the Lions and Bears.
3. New York Giants (LW: 7)
The Giants need to be taken seriously. After beating the Packers and Ravens each of the past two weeks, New York looks like a serous playoff contender.
2. Minnesota Vikings (LW: 3)
At 5-1, the Vikings are two full games ahead of Green Bay in the NFC North, with a win over the Packers as well. Nice position to be in.
1. Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 1)
As the Eagles enter their bye week, they’re 6-0 and in prime position to run away with the NFC’s top seed as their schedule is cake.
