Raiders owner Mark Davis is content with Josh McDaniels’ coaching job thus far
The Las Vegas Raiders stumbled to another disappointing loss in Week 10 to the Indianapolis Colts, further diminishing any hope of a playoff push.
The Raiders have looked like anything but a team that can contend for a postseason berth in the first year under head coach Josh McDaniels. All that has put a bright spotlight on whether hiring the former longtime New England Patriots offensive coordinator was the right move for owner Mark Davis.

Despite that, Davis remains confident about how the team has been competitive throughout the season.
“People in today’s world want instant gratification. The guy’s coached nine games. We’re 2-7, not the results we’re looking for but at the same time we’ve lost six one-score games with the ball and a chance to win at the end,” Davis said via ESPN.
The Raiders have had opportunities to secure a win nearly every week, but have fallen short on either side of the ball. The offense hasn’t looked as hoped after the addition of star wide receiver Davante Adams.
Derek Carr hasn’t been the game-changing factor that the Raiders need. Instead, he’s remained par for the course in his production. Adams has put up elite numbers, ranking eighth with 57 receptions, sixth with 784 receiving yards, and tied for first with eight receiving touchdowns.

Meanwhile, running back Josh Jacobs has been a consistent factor in the running game. He ranks fourth with 821 rushing yards and tied for fourth with seven rushing touchdowns.
The Raiders’ 2022 campaign may be heading to a disappointing end result, but it doesn’t appear McDaniels’ job is on the line.
